A consistent drive in extremely challenging conditions has seen the 3..2..1..GO! Rallying! team rewarded with a win in heat one and second in heat two for a tie overall in this year's Aussie Duct Rally of Melbourne.

"What a great result for our team" commented Paul Pyyvaara at Sunday evening's presentation. "The conditions and road surfaces really varied and it was a matter of really keeping your wits about you to ensure that the greasy conditions would not catch you out. The 3..2..1..GO! Rallying! ute performed faultlessly all week-end and we are just so pleased to have come away with a fantastic result."

Spectator interest and media attention continues to grow with many fans of the team cheering and waving wildly as Pyyvaara spectacularly slipped and slid the ute through the Melbourne forests in the greasy conditions. The week-end had begun with a successful outing at the media day on Thursday in the Hella stage at De Bortoli winery providing event sponsors, team sponsors and James Brock the experience of riding in the 3..2..1..GO! Rallying! Commodore ute. This stage was also the final stage of the event and some flamboyant driving from Pyyvaara thrilled the many thousands of people who had made the trip to experience the spectacle of rallying first hand.

The win this week-end gives the team the outright lead in this year's Aussie Car class after rivals and joint leaders coming into this event, Peter Menzies/Stephen Kennedy had a dissappointing week-end, failing to finish either heat. With points and a half on offer in Tasmania the team cannot afford to relax but will be looking to repeat this week-end's performance with a smooth and consistent run.

The team will again be thrilling the crowds at a demonstration day at Auto Fest, an automotive event attracting 20 000 people last year and expecting to attract the same again this year which will be held at Kalbar showgrounds, east of the Gold Coast on 2nd/3rd September. From there the car will be prepared for Rally of Tasmania in which the team hopes to become the 2000 Aussie Car Class Champions.
