Second Outright Queensland Championship

The "3..2..1..GO! Rallying" team has enjoyed a successful and trouble free event at this year's Qld Round of the Australian Rally Championship, winning the Aussie Car Class in both heats in their Holden Commodore ute. The team also won the over 2000cc class in both the Australian and Queensland Championships and placed second outright in Queensland Championship - embarrassing many more powerful turbocharged 4wd rally cars.

With the largest field of Aussie Cars seen for many years, this result is all the more creditable due to the high standard of all the entries in the class. Team manager Gary Mitchell was extremely pleased with the performance of both the team and the vehicle on their first outing.

Paul Pyyvaara, the driver commented "Considering it was my first competitive event for 18 months and the first time my navigator Anthony McLoughlin and I have teamed together I could not be happier with the result. With much more development to be done on the car we will only become quicker".

Ralph, the team mascot, has also become a bit of a celebrity with many members of the public and media. He was seen enjoying a ride in the back of the ute for the final Pelican Waters competitive stage.

The team would like to thank the help of all our supporters without whom this fantastic result would not have been possible. The team is now readying itself for the "Rally New South Wales" from the 28th of June to July 2nd where we hope to repeat the success if this week-end.

3..2..1..GO! Rallying is proudly supported by Rallytorque, Chiptorque, PerFOURmance Motorsports, Revolution Racegear, 80's Commodore Wreckers, Hinterland Exhausts, Gizmo Teamwear, Mobil, Courier Solutions and On the Net.
